Anoushka Shankar is an Indian sitar player and composer. Anousha Shankar is the daughter of Pandit Ravi Shankar, the Indian sitar maestro, who was 61 when she was born. As a teenager, Anoushka lived and attended the San Dieguito High School Academy in Encinitas, California. In 1999 she completed her graduation and came back Home, Anoushka for not going to college but to follow her passion in music and made as a career.

1. Concerts: –

Anoushka was the featured artist of the “Indian” half of the Concert for George on 29 November 2002, a posthumous homage to George Harrison’s life and music, held in London’s Royal Albert Hall. She launched the show with an instrumental solo sitar called “Your Eyes.” She also conducted “The Inner Light” by George Harrison with Jeff Lynne on the sitar. She finally performed a fresh composition written by her dad, Arpan. A complete orchestra of Indian and Western musicians playing acoustic guitar.

2. Acting and writing: –

Anoushka also went on to perform and write (Dance Like a Man, (2004). Her father’s biography, Bapi: The Love of My Life, was written in 2002 and contributed to numerous books. She wrote monthly articles for three years as a columnist for India’s First City Magazine and spent a year as a weekly columnist for India’s biggest newspaper, the Hindustan Times.

3. Music: –

Music releases such as Anoushka, Anourag, Rise, are released by the label Angel Records, Breathing Under Water Ft. Karsh Kale was released by Manhattan and Home, Traces Of You, traveler and Land Of Gold was released by Deutsche Grammophon. These were her album songs released.
