Karan Singh Grover talks about his upcoming movie 3 Dev

3 Dev will do well- Karan Singh Grover

TV and film hunk Karan Singh Grover is looking forward to his next film release, 3 Dev. “We deal with our beliefs of God and spirituality, but in a funny entertaining way, there is no peachiness.”

Talking about his God Vishnu character KSG says, “As per his modern day avatar he is acrobat thief.  His love for music continues even in Kalyug, only veena is replaced by the harmonica.”

So was the delayed a bit? “Yes, but I don’t think it matters for everything has its preordained time.  I am sure we will do well at Box Office, as we are already trending #3 worldwide on Twitter.”

Point out that he has taken a different avatar compared to his earlier bolder film look and he adds, “As an actor, it is important to keep trying different things.  I don’t want to restrict myself to doing only what I am known for (Alone and Hate Story 3).”

Karan, further states that he enjoyed working with both his co-stars Ravi Dubey and Kunal Roy Kapur.  “Director Ankoosh Bhatt wanted us to meet for dinner before shoot to break the ice and we hit it off well.  We don’t need to meet day in day out, just continue from where we left off. I really admire Ravi’s hard work, I still remember he was shooting for Jamai Raja when we were canning our film songs. He had to travel all the way from Naigaon to Madh Island and back.”

Karan has been among a few TV stars to have successfully crossed over to films.  What has he done right?  “These tags never bothered me and are now passé even for the audience.  As an actor I am looking for a good role, period.   Also, those people who think that TV don’t have the “goods” are really limited in their thinking and approach.  On the contrary I say that every film actor should also try TV as it teaches you a lot.  Unlike films where you shoot in ease, in TV you have to daily give 15-22 minutes of content, come what may.  You can’t compromise on quality as well, so indeed a great learning curve end of the day.”

Any plans of a comeback to TV fiction? “I have never bid goodbye to TV. I am just looking for something juicy.   As for break, there was one even between Dil Mill Gayee and Qubool Hai.”

Talking about his ALTBalaji series, Karan informs, “Judai is still on, we will go on floors once the final casting is locked, there were a few date issues as well.”

We wish him a great life ahead.
