In conversation with Mahima Makwana

Beautiful and talented Mahima Makwana made a place in our hearts and living rooms with her inspirational character Anami in Star Plus’ Rishton Ka Chakravyuh (Rolling Pictures). But unfortunately, the drama will bid adieu to TV screens soon.

In a candid chat with IndianWikiMedia, Mahima spoke about the sudden closure of the soap, her journey, and more…

While commenting on the show’s wrap-up, she says, “It was extremely shocking as the show was doing really well, not considering the numbers. The concept was loved by everyone. It was a different type of a show. The entire team was extremely dedicated. The show was not just another show for me. It has evolved everybody, who has worked on the project. The team has created magic. We will try to give our best till the last episode. Of course it was extremely shocking, as we never thought that it would wrap up in 6 months. They say that the numbers are the reasons. If I believe it, numbers could only be the reason as the concept has nothing to do with the series going off air.”

When asked how much she is going to miss the daily, she avers, “I am going to miss my team. Each and everyone coming together and creating magic will be missed the most. Being Anami, interacting with my co-stars and the entire team will be missed. There was no competition between us. The makers and actors have put in their 100 percent to the show. I am extremely unhappy, not because my show wrapped up, but because all that has gone.”

Talking about her learning process through the show, she shares, “We had immensely talented bunch of actors on set. I have learnt a lot from the show. I did not make any effort but it all happened subconsciously. I used to observe them and grasp the nuances. Each and every actor on the set was hard working. The team was supportive. It has been a great learning process.”

On an end note, she shares what kind of project she is looking forward to now. “I am extremely glad and determined about choosing my characters in further projects. The show has made me learn a lot as a person. Anami was not like any other character. It was an inspiration. I don’t want to go for any showbiz or daily soap role. I will choose my project wisely as they come to me.”

Good luck girl!
