Arshi Khan talks about Bigg Boss 12 and her show Savitri Devi College & Hospital

Most celebs and commoners are very boring in Bigg Boss 12- Arshi Khan

Last year’s Bigg Boss contestant, Arshi Khan, who is now part of the Colors medical drama, Savitri Devi College & Hospital, as a spirit, is not very excited about the current lot of inmates locked in the plush Lonavala pad. “Most celebs and commons are very boring, except for a few entertaining ones. Dipika Kakkar Ibrahim wrongly thinks that she will win brownie points by always staying in the kitchen. Last year’s winner, Shilpa Shinde, did not get where she eventually reached only by making food for others, but by providing the much-needed entertainment through her engagement with others, for example, with Vikas Gupta,” says she to IWMBuzz.com.

She continues: “Neha Pendse is good on her part, either keeping herself below the radar or acting oversweet. I have not seen much myself, and am basing my opinion on social media chatter. Even host Salman Khan is unimpressed. No wonder he is quite indifferent so far, while he was openly taking digs at us during our opening stint. Having said that, it is still early days and we need to wait a bit for the real fun and games to start.”

Any advice? “Many celebs enter with a game plan, but very soon the façade drops, exposing your true colours. Did Hina Khan not try to portray a different image? Yet, didn’t we get to see who she really was? Ditto with Priyank Sharma’s disrespectful attitude towards the women folk.”

Arshi has no regret of not being a Bigg Boss winner. “In fact, I was praying to fall just short of the finishing line, for no season winner, except Gauahar Khan, has gone on to bag a big film or TV show. Most of them are just sitting at home.”

So what have you taken home? “Having a bad image, I had to play my cards (being honest) well in this very widely followed format, to get a fresh start, which I successfully did – going on to becoming the second most searched Indian on Google after Sunny Leone, to winning a flurry of awards, and now the above TV show. The biggest prize for me was when Salman especially asked me to come on stage after my elimination, which never happens.”

Looking ahead, Arshi wants to do films only in 2019. “This TV stint will help me polish my acting skills for the big film journey,” she ends.
