Young lad Ashish Trivedi has debuted on television with the Colors show Udaan. He plays Prakash, the close friend of the male lead, Sameer in the show.
Ashish who hails from Noida was a dentist by profession before he hung up his boots on his medical career, and preferred to follow his aspiration of becoming an actor. The journey to find a career for himself in Mumbai has not been easy, but Ashish never gave up.
Now, Ashish is pleased to have got his first break on TV with Udaan.
Sharing his thoughts on his onscreen chemistry with Gaurav Sareen, he states, “The two of them are like chalk and cheese, very different from each other. While Sameer is soft-spoken, Prakash is bold and daring. He is like a shield, protective towards Sameer and guides him at all steps. Prakash will instil courage in Sameer whenever he needs it. You can say that I am a supporting pillar for Sameer in his love story.”
The best part that Ashish likes about his role is the UP tone that it has. “I feel that people connect very easily with the UP characters. Prakash is totally desi in behavior and dressing sense. He is helpful and kind-hearted. There is a lot to explore in the role of Prakash. I am playing around with it and am getting a good response. This role is actually a big step forward in my acting career.”
Ashish has worked quite hard to reach this day. When he decided to get into the acting field, he was determined to give himself a transformation. “Earlier, I weighed nearly 97 Kgs and to turn to 64 Kgs, I have had to work out a lot. After all, to become an actor, you need to look good, isn’t it?”
Ashish has been part of a theater group and has also learnt the art through acting courses.
“My dream is to do well as an actor, irrespective of the medium. I will work towards bagging lead roles.”
