Sumbul Touqeer, who is currently seen as Imlie in Star Plus show Imlie, is missing her family this EID. Eid-ul-Fitr or ‘Festival of Breaking the Fast’ marks the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. Talking about her Eid plans, Sumbul mentions: “This is the first time I haven’t planned anything for Eid. We are in Hyderabad for the shoot of our show, so I have no idea if I will be able to go home for Eid. I guess this time we will celebrate on the sets and if that happens then it would be a fun day. It would be a new experience. I am missing my family a lot this Eid as we always used to have fun. I am missing these special celebrations.”
When asked Sumbul about her favourite Eid memories, she avers, “We used to go to our village for Eid celebrations. We are 10 cousins and we all used to stand in front of our elders in a queue to get our Eidi. After that, we used to contribute and go for a picnic in a nearby park. We used to take Maggie, cold drinks and chips and have fun. In 2019, I got an iPhone 6 from my father as Eidi and that was my favourite.”
On an end note, Sumbul shares a special wish for all her beloved fans. She says, “Eid is really special for me and I have so many memories of celebrating the festival with my family. This Eid, I wish all Eid Mubarak, stay safe and have fun.”
