Tall and handsome Sai Ketan Rao has been winning hearts from the time he got into the skin of the role of Raghav Rao in the Star Plus show Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali. From his hot and dynamic look to his varied display of emotions, everything about him has been worth watching and applauding.

In a candid chat with IWMBuzz.com, Sai Ketan Rao talks of the amazing journey he has had in the character of Raghav Rao.

Excerpts:

How is it to be known as the Hindi TV star after making it big in South?

I really feel elated on that part as people (audience) never considered me as a TV star. They have pronounced me as ACTOR and that word really makes me happy. Touchwood, I would love to keep the audience much more entertained in all ways possible. When it comes to the South (Telugu) market, I haven’t made it big out there yet, but will definitely make it. Yes, I have done multiple projects in Telugu ranging from web series to movies and also a TV series.

What are your takeaways from your character in Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali?

My biggest takeaway from MHRW is RAGHAV RAO. The role in itself is the best. It is iconic and I love to play it; it has so many shades (shades of RR) and still many to come.

Your secret to good looks will be…

Oh, repeating question, (laughs). Well, you get handsome tablets, and that’s what I take   Jokes apart, having good looks, I must say it’s not by birth, you need to have good food, exercise, and the main part is LOVE AND ACCEPT YOURSELF.

How is it working with Shivangi?

We both are new to Hindi TV, but it’s an amazing experience. She is the best for Pallavi’s role.

How do you both gel off the screen?

Yes, both in their own respective worlds are good.

Working amid the pandemic scare… What are the adjustments you have to make as an actor?

Yes, the pandemic is the worst; we are managing with all the protocols and keeping ourselves safe. I hope this pandemic ends soon and everything just comes to normalcy again. I did not have to do any adjustments. I always wanted to be an actor, so have worked in that direction only (of course many lows, obstacles, embarrassments, faced a lot) but I am climbing up the ladder.

Do you think working on TV is really tedious? What are the pros and cons?

Yes, many times we have to work hard to achieve our schedules. But that’s the job and I love to do it. I don’t panic. Pros for me are just to go and perform to the best and make an ever-lasting impact. I don’t have cons yet.

The recent twists in the story have been really unexpected. Tell us what the viewers can expect in the plot?

Many many twists will be coming, can’t reveal them. Just stay tuned to Star Plus’ Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali.

What are the kinds of emotions you are good at as an actor? Is there any dream role?

I don’t know which emotions suit me the best. I just go according to the flow, yes dream role would be something like a SPY (bond )

Your message to fans?

I just can’t describe how much they love me and support me, it is more than more. Keep up the spirits. I am indebted to them.
