What do you like the most in Rishita?

Rishita as a character is a very strong girl who believes in putting her opinions, and accordingly, she always states her facts. She has been brought up in a rich family. After her wedding, she tries to adjust to the new ambiance, and sometimes she does not. She is demanding in a very nice and cute way. So Rishita being blunt and practical is what I like.

How is it being part of Pandya Store?

First of all, I am very grateful to be a part of this show. The channel and production are so good. I am really enjoying my stint. The show is doing well. Everything is so on point; we are working really hard on our characters. I always believe that when I am doing a role, the character graph should always go up. And Pandya Store is that phase of ‘up’ for me.

Do you relate to Rishita in any way?

Definitely, I do. Rishita is the same as I am. The way she is blunt and the manner in which she fights for what she wants is so similar to mine.

You have sparkling chemistry going with Akshay Kharodia. Tell us about it.

With Akshay, it is very different. We know each other a lot and are so very comfortable working together. I have never had trouble doing any scene with him. I think I am Akshay’s younger version. We have so much in similar. Working with him is a pleasant experience and we enjoy every bit of it.

How is it to work with the entire cast?

Initially, it was a bit difficult for me to gel up with everyone. I was the latest entry and everyone was already shooting before me. Having said this, the turnaround has been very beautiful. Everyone on the set has a unique character. For example, Kinshuk Mahajan is the kind of person who is calm on the set. But in between shots, his jokes can make you laugh your lungs out. Akshay is a sweetheart, a very good co-actor. Shiny is like a mother figure, very caring. Shiny is very motivating. Alice and I have started reading our scripts together; Alice is such a hard-working girl. In fact, everyone on the set inspires the other. Also, it is great working with Mohit and Mami also (Pallavi Rao). How can I forget them?

What are your expectations from the show?

I am very thankful that I am doing this show, during the Covid times. Many people are sitting at home, there is not much work. There is so much emotional stress. We are being the medium of entertainment for them. I have never had any big expectations from the shows I have done. But Pandya Store is growing big and I believe that it will grow immensely in days to come.

How is the shoot in Bikaner?

Yes, this was the need of the hour. Doing outdoors brings a very good flavor to the show. The scenes are looking very pretty and we are getting great feedback. There are so many palaces around this place. Shooting in the midst of such a scenic beauty is amazing.
