Narayani Shastri talks about her new show

Television actress Narayani Shastri, who is known for her powerful characters in shows like Piya Ka Ghar, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kkusum, Mamta, Phir Subah Hogi, Piya Rangrezz is all set to return to the small screen with a power packed role of Satrupa in Star Plus’ Rishton Ka Chakravyuh.

The thespian, who has been part of the industry for a long time, feels responsible as an actor.

“I feel responsible and hence I don’t take up any random shows. An actor should feel responsible as viewers wait for their shows and get inspired from it. If I take up any random show I will feel bad as it may create a different perceptive in their minds. I was offered a lot of shows but Satrupa, the character appealed to me immediately. I wanted to do something like this in my career,” said the actress.

Narayani will be seen playing a strong-willed, successful business woman. Talking about her character and relationship with her on-screen daughter Anami, she averred, “We have always seen close bond between a mother and daughter, but this is an unusual case. It is interesting to work in a show which instead portrays the battle of the mother-daughter duo.”

When quizzed Narayani about the storyline seeing any change as the show progresses, she quipped, “I don’t think there will be any change in storyline. I have normally seen in shows that it promises a particular concept which run for 6 months and then changes completely. Our producer Sanjot is very clear about what she wants. She has turned into a producer after being a creative. It is a big leap for her. This is her first daily and it will show what kind of a person she is and what content she wants to deliver to audience. There are a lot of producers and shows, but Sanjot is much focused.”

We wish good luck to Narayani for her new journey!
