Neha Bagga is very much excited at destiny’s call of her bagging the lead role of Babli in &TV’s light-hearted dramedy show, Naye Shaadi Ke Siyape. The show is produced by Vishal Watwani and Renu Watwani’s Shourya Films.
Neha who debuted on TV with Bani – Ishq Da Kalma has been part of TV shows Piya Rangrezz and Savitri Devi College and Hospital.
Says Neha Bagga, “I am super duper excited to play this role. Rather than calling it a different kind of role, I prefer to term it as real fun to play this role. I will be working with the thespian actor Shahbaz Khanji, and we were actually saying the same thing that everyday will bring new and interesting stuff on our plates, with this show. Challenges will come and go but it will be fun as actors to play this one.”
Comparing her earlier roles, Neha states, “My role in Bani Ishq Da Kalma was a very different experience for me. Everything from the costumes to dialogues was very raw. In Piya Rangrezz, I played the UP – Bihar’s typical don kind of a girl. Savitri Devi College and Hospital was real fun where we played doctors. We used to enjoy a lot being part of the show. And now, Naye Shaadi Ke Siyape is the icing on the cake. Every week’s story line will bring in new excitement and I am looking forward to start shoot.”
Describing Babli her character, she avers, “She is bubbly and colorful. She is very ambitious and not the typical straight-forward girl. She can be street-smart too. She shares a very respectful relationship with Khan Saab, as he is her fatherly figure. She does not have a friendly rapport with Bunty (Vipul Roy).”
Talking about the challenges being in the role, she quips, “The biggest challenge as of now is the monsoon for us (smiles). Since our show is mostly based around the wedding setups, it is getting really difficult to start shoot in this rainy weather. Also, we will have quite a lot of stunt sequences which will again be impossible given this weather. We actually had a tough time shooting for the promo. We shot completely amidst rain. So the bigger challenge for us as of now is the rains. Let us see how we work things out.”
Neha also likes the fact that she will not stick to one particular look in the show. “Every week will see us in different looks as per the story line coming. I am at a liberty in this show to keep changing my look. Being a very experimental person in real life, I am excited about my varied looks for the show.”
