As Ruslaan Mumtaz gears up for his next movie, he talks about his comfortability factor and the genre he likes the most.

Bollywood and Television actor Ruslaan Mumtaz is now gearing up for the shoot of his next project on the big screen!!

The actor who made his debut with the movie MP3 – Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar will now shoot for a one month schedule in Rajasthan for an upcoming romantic comedy flick. Ruslaan has been cast opposite South actor Vaibhavi Joshi in the movie.

This only means that Ruslaan will not be back to the TV screens anytime this year. “I am trying to get back to TV with something that’s worth doing. I don’t want to be part of shows where there is a leap happening or where there is an introduction of a new lead.  As of now, I will be concentrating on my movie shoot, a genre which I fit completely into. The movie will be a romantic comedy, something in the zone of movies Bareilly Ki Barfi and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya. It is a one-sided love story where the guy never tells the girl about his love and how this leads to comical situations will form the story.”

Ruslaan feels that working in TV needs bit more of maturity as far as the characters are concerned. “TV is all about drama, but in movies, you can tend to play young and be funny.”

The good-looking actor admits that he always gets attracted to love stories. “If I am offered a love story, a thriller and an action show, many might choose thriller or action. But for me, I will always opt for the love story. Whatever be the character, if there is a scope for me to love someone, I enjoy doing it. I feel love and romance are two very strong qualities that I can portray very easily.”

On TV, Ruslaan has shot for a pilot for Star Plus, but says, “I do not want to talk about pilots. Only time will tell whether things fall in place or not.”

On associating with his fans, Ruslaan avers, “Since there is lot of social media activity nowadays, fans do not miss an actor much even when the actor is out of action. Our pictures do come out and they keep connected. However, I believe that once an actor gets connected through a show, his / her fan base increases. I have seen that when I do a show, it adds lot of value as so many people who did not even know that I exist, have connected with me.”

Ruslaan’s body of work in television includes shows Jee Le Zara, Balika Vadhu,Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi. On the digital front, Ruslaan was last seen in Vikram Bhatt’s Let’s Play.

Ruslaan, we wish you luck for your future endeavours.
