Neena Kulkarni aka Mrs. Iyer is happy to have resumed shoot for her show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein after two months.

Neena Kulkarni thrilled on making a comeback post health setback in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein

Senior actress Neena Kulkarni famous as Mrs. Iyer of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is back on the show after a gap of nearly two months!!

Neena Kulkarni who is popularly known as Ishita aka Divyanka Tripathi’s mother in the long-running Star Plus show produced by Balaji Telefilms, was out of action owing to a health setback.

Now that she is fit and fine she has resumed shooting for her favorite show.

Says Neena, “Yes, I am back on the set of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Nothing can make me leave YHM just like that. I was unwell and hence had to take care of my health and get better. I am thrilled and overjoyed at being back now.”

“It is all about commitment and being there as part of this wonderful show. I am getting better. Actually after going on set, I feel much better (smiles). I was in touch with the team, and had even told them to look for a replacement. But they wanted to wait for me. We are an integral part of the show, as we are parents of Ishita. Once I was available they have included us in the story now.”

There has been so much happening on the show in the last few months, that Neena Kulkarni had a fantastic opening scene to shoot once she got back.

We hear that her first scene post return was the one where she sees her son-in-law for the first time, and does not recognize him (Raman has gone through a face change with Karan Patel’s unavailability and Chaitanya Choudhary bagging the role).

“Yes, a lot has happened now, and my son-in-law Raman also has a change in face. We had this incorporated in a sequence too. The story is now on the third generation and we are part of the supporting cast. After six years, all these changes are bound to happen,” she adds.

Neena gets nostalgic when we ask her about her journey of being part of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein so far, and she exclaims, “What a wonderful show and role!! The first year was simply fabulous, the fights of the Iyers and Bhallas was simply great. I loved my part when it started. The journey has been overwhelming. I am famous for leaving a show if I feel uncomfortable. But I will never do this with Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. We have a fab unit and the comfortability factor is so much. All is very much stream-lined.”

Are you missing your son-in-law, Karan Patel? “Yes, of course, his aura is different. But I want to mention that Chaitanya is a wonderful actor and is doing a great job.”

Neena mentions that Yeh Hai Mohabbatein will complete 6 years in December. “The show is an integral part of our lives now. And I hope it does not end soon.”

Welcome back!!
