Returning to the stage that made him a star, Abhijeet Sawant is all set to win hearts of many as he prepares to don the role of a captain in &TV’s new live singing reality show, Love Me India.
Recently spotted at the airport, the singer had a delightful moment with an anonymous fan who happened to have mistaken him for the legendary cricketer, Rahul Dravid. Striking a close resemblance to the latter, Abhijeet Sawant greeted his fan with tremendous generosity. Commenting upon the accurate resemblance Abhijeet shyly replied, “I was often compared to Rahul Dravid in college and while I never believed that I resembled him, the constant comment from my peers made me believe that I share a similarity with the legendary cricketer. In fact, I think this thought has somewhere led him to be my favourite amongst various other reasons” quoted Abhijeet. Recalling a hilarious incident of with regards to the same, the singer also said “When I was back in college, the resemblance was so close that I remember someone sending me a meme where under Rahul Dravid’s picture my name was written and under mine, his. This was sent to me on Orkut a long time back, along with a joke of how the cricketer has also appeared on a reality show” said Abhijeet laughingly.
Leading the west zone with great pride, the Marathi ‘manoos’ is all set to spread his magic with music among the west contestants.
