Deepika Singh, who rose to fame with Diya Aur Baati Hum, is back on-screen as Sandhya again in Colors’ upcoming thriller Kawach Mahashivratri.

Commenting on the role, she adds, “I will be seen playing the role of Sandhya, a loving and caring daughter. This time I am Ekta Kapoor’s Sandhya. The earlier Sandhya from Diya Aur Baati Hum was different from this Sandhya. She is a rational person, who is god-fearing but has no faith in supernatural elements and superstitions until she has a tryst with it herself. This is a very different genre from what I have done before. I am grateful for this opportunity. There are a lot of questions in audience mind after seeing the promo, soon they would be answered post the show goes on-air.”

She continues, “I personally don’t believe in such superstitions. I am a positive thinker and believe in god. Kawach 1 was hit and the audience loved it. There is a lot of romance, thrill, drama in season 2 so do watch the show and support us.”

When asked what made her choose the show, she adds, “The most important factor is the classical dance. I am personally very much involved in classical dancing. Hence, I am not detached to it, as I am getting to dance in the show.

Deepika recently said that her husband and director Rohit Raj Goyal has taken a break so that she can work. Talking about the same, she shares, “I would like to suggest girls that post marriage don’t get into nuclear family. Stay attached to a joint family if you want to get back to your work. As you can work stress-free because your family will be taking care of your baby. The whole family is there to take care of the kid.”
