Viewers will cry seeing death of Rohan in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein: Abhishek Malik

Abhishek Malik’s fruitful journey of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein in the character of Rohan Srivastav is over!!

The actor wrapped up shoot for the popular show on Star Plus produced by Balaji Telefilms yesterday (13 May).

Says Abhishek, “I want to thank Ekta Kapoor Mam and Sandiip Sikcand Sir for this stint of Rohan for Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. It has been a fabulous journey overall for me.”

The best thing that happened for Abhishek was that the Director Shah Nawaz who shot his introductory scene for Yeh Hai Mohabbatein shot his last scene too. “It was really emotional when the Director asked me to relive my whole journey of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein in that one shot that is shown before the bomb blast. Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has given me a boost in my acting career. And I am thankful for the opportunity. I want to continue my good run in my new show as well.”

Abhishek says that bidding adieu to the team and show was really painful. “I was throughout on the set yesterday. I did not feel like getting into the vanity during my breaks. The fact that I was present for one last day on the set played on me.”

The sequences leading to the death of Rohan in the show have also come out well. “The sequence during Aaliya’s wedding wherein Rohan goes to meet her for one last time, got me good reviews. I have a lot of messages coming from fans. They have told me that they could see that the character had the pain coming from inside during the scene. In fact my mom too liked the scene a lot. Though she is sad that my character will die, she could relate to the pain that Rohan brought about in that scene.”

Viewers can now gear up for a very emotional sequence that will result in Rohan’s death in the show. “I have not cried so much in my life, like how I cried for this particular scene. Rohan literally fell on his knees and relived his happy moments. With the fear of the bomb taking off any time, Rohan thought of his family, Aaliya. Shooting for this sequence that involved fear as well as pain was a great feeling. Viewers will surely cry over Rohan’s exit. The guy has sacrificed his life for the Bhallas.”

The irony of life for Abhishek is that he bid adieu for one show at the Film City location yesterday and returned to Film City today for the shoot of his new show Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum produced by SOL Productions and Sandiip Sikcand.

Here’s wishing Abhishek all the very best in his acting career!!
