Heartthrob of Indian television Shaheer Sheikh is all set to return to the small screen with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s spin-off Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke which will premiere on March 18.
Sharing about his character, Shaheer says, “I am playing the character of Abeer in the show. He is a free bird. He feels that everyone should be strong enough to express themselves and that there is no point of living your life with fears. In the show, when he gets angry, he ends up removing his frustration on his mom. He loves his younger brother. He gives only one message to everyone to live life to the fullest. Abeer is a kind of a person, who will influence people to be happier.”
Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke is a fresh take on decision-making over choosing your life partner. Commenting on the concept of the series, he adds, “I feel in a marriage a person should know his/ her partner. I am not saying that you need to know the person and get married. May be that decision might also be wrong, but you might realize the real personality of the person and get married, so that at least you have a say on the decision you have made. I wouldn’t want any girl to be blaming her mother after 10 years that she chose a wrong guy for her or spoilt her life. A girl should be given full right to choose her life partner.”
When asked on his take on marriage, he shares, “There is no rule set related to marriage. You should not put pressure on yourself; if you really feel the need to get married, go ahead or else you can live life without marriage too.”
On a final note, Shaheer says he is ready for the comparison with Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan starrer show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain. “People will compare the show with Yeh Rishta. It’s a spin-off; so it’s obvious that the comparisons will take place. We are bringing a fresh story to the table. There is no association with Yeh Rishta when it comes to the concept of the show. Audience is already aware about Mishti’s character; so that is a good thing. I also feel the association will bring a positive effect on our show,” ends Shaheer.
