Adnan Khan talks on his new found success with Ishq Subhan Allah

I don’t approve of divorce: Adnan Khan

Multifaceted actor, Adnan Khan, of popular Zee TV show, Ishq Subhan Allah, is one actor who can go places. Apart from the current Zee TV show, he has a couple of other projects in the pipeline.

“My horror film, Mailguard Chronicles, directed by Aditya Singh, should hopefully release this year. It is based on the found footage genre. Then there is a comedy show which was first slated to go on air on a network, but unfortunately did not see the light of day. It might now come on another channel, so fingers crossed.” He has also done a few short films.

“Also, I will continue to dabble in stage, as and when I get time.” Here, he does not lament the large number of takes which happen on TV. “Rather, I regard it as an opportunity to better my craft. I am getting stage-like satisfaction on a TV set,” says Adnan, who has earlier done shows for Doordarshan and MTV.

Were you expecting such a big success for Ishq Subhan Allah? “To be honest, I don’t really look for success. Rather, I believe in putting my best foot forward. I am glad that our combined efforts i.e. good direction, writing, and yes, acting, by all concerned, are paying rich dividends.”

Coming to his personal take on the triple talaaq controversy, Adnan favors a gap between each utterance. “I don’t subscribe to the instant triple method.”

“I don’t approve of divorce, and will do what it takes to make the marriage work. There is nothing that good old communication can’t resolve. Here, family, friends and counselors can also play an important, positive role.”

Coming to co-star Eisha Singh, Adnan calls her a very warm and friendly person. “Although she is younger than me, I get to learn a lot about the acting craft from her. I love working with her.”

We wish him success.
