Cute-looking actor, Mukul Harish, who has been around for many years doing various interesting characters, is now donning a negative avatar.He has entered popular Zee TV show, Kundali Bhagya, as Akash, who was not seen for a while.
“This is like coming home, for I had worked with the same team in Pavitra Rishta before. Hence, when this role was offered to me, I immediately said yes. Also, who would not want to be part of a chart-buster show?” asks Mukul, last seen in Tu Mera Hero.
“I obviously can’t say much about what havoc my character will now wreck in the show, but rest assured that I will do a good job. Hope you guys will love to hate me,” says Mukul, who was first noticed years back in Star One’s Annu Ki Ho Gayee Wah Bhai Wah, where he had again played a negative character.
When asked about replacing Aashish Mehrotra who was first playing Akash, he says, “Replacements are common occurrences in our Tellyland. Anyways, things like what and why are really beyond my remit, hence, no comments.”
“I have already started shooting and will come on air soon; do watch and let me know how you feel about my work. I did not really see the previous episodes, for I wanted to play the character in my own way. Each actor‘sapproach towards any character is always different. I like playing negative shades, for you get to essay different elements, which is not alwayspossible in positive characters. As an actor, it is important to experiment with all kind of genres.”
Looking ahead, he would also want to try his hands at web series, If something really juicy comes along. Web is a great option, for we get to try out stuff which might not be allowed on TV.”
Having said that, I respect the small screen, which has given me a lot. I am what I am, due to it.”
Ask him about his career graph,and he says, “Slow and steady. I don’t really look at the past; for me, my present is important, and I feel that this show will take my career to bigger heights. Fingers crossed.
