Anupamaa’s launch postponed; Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to have extended episodes

Star Plus will not launch Anupamaa, but will have extended episodes of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai from today.

Anupamaa the Rajan Shahi show which was to launch today (16 March) on Star Plus has been granted a delayed launch owing to the #Coronavirus scare that has taken the world by storm.

As we know, the entertainment industry has decided after a meeting held yesterday with all the bodies, about shoots being stopped from 19 March (this Thursday) till 31 March owing to the growing concern of the deadly and life-threatening virus.

Anupamaa starring Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey will not launch today as per schedule. Instead, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will air as a 43 minutes episode starting from today and will take up the 9 to 10 PM slot.

When contacted, Producer Rajan Shahi confirmed the news saying, “Yes, we are not launching Anupamaa today. We will air extended episodes of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starting from today.”

We reached out to the channel spokesperson but did not get a response.
