Kumkum Bhagya: Abhi and Pragya aka Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha thank fans on 5 years completion of show

Zee TV’s popular show Kumkum Bhagya celebrates the successful completion of 5 years today. The show that went on 15 April five years ago, soon captivated millions of viewers across the world.

It brings forward the journey of a unique couple Abhi and Pragya played by Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha who have stood by each other against all odds. The show, being one of Zee TV’s top rated properties, has introduced affable and relatable characters like Abhi, Pragya, Sarla, Tanu, Aaliya, Purab, who are household names today. In the last 5 years, the show has brilliantly carved the changing dynamics in the relationships between the  pivotal characters and the new generation that introduced recently in the form of Abhi and Pragya’s daughters Rhea and Prachi.

On the completion of five years Abhi and Pragya aka Shabir and Pragya posted special notes on their Instagram thanking their fans for the success.

Kumkum Bhagya has been just love and a lot of fun… I have found friends and family in this show in some people and both in some. The last five years have been the best. I am as much of a fan of this show as anyone else. I love how it’s inappropriately funny at times and appropriately emotional at other times. I have so much love and gratitude for everyone who has walked in and and out of this show Allah waariyaan is so much more than a song for me…for all of us Thank you so much people.. all of you people in front of the camera and behind… in front of the screens Lots and lots of happy love to everyone!!!
