Writer Akash Deep, one of the prolific writers in television today is now all set to foray into Bollywood with Suneel Darshan’s romantic thriller, Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha with Shiv Darshan, Natasha Fernandez and Upen Patel in lead roles.
Akash Deep who has had a vast body of work as an independent writer with TV shows Dilli Wali Thakur Girls, Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman, Meri Saasu Maa, Jamai Raja, Swaragini, Santoshi Maa, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Sasural Simar Ka, Saath Nibhana Saathiya etal has written the screenplay of the movie along with Suneel Darshan.
The writer who is from a small town in Uttar Pradesh gained a lot of acclaim after becoming the writer for famous shows Saathi Nibhana Saathiya and Sasural Simar Ka.
On his shift from TV to the movie stream as screenplay writer, Akash Deep told IndianWikiMedia.com, “There is no major difference between TV and films if you ask me. Film is a director’s medium and TV is a writer’s medium.”
Talking about the movie Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha which is due for release on 30 June, Akash Deep averred, “The movie is a thriller, about a couple who are engaged, only to find a new guy in their lives. The game of deadly deception will take viewers on a gripping ride.”
Akash Deep, in due course of time will also direct his first feature film, which will again be a thriller.
