Neela Telefilms and Asit Modi’s popular and long-running show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB TV always works around special tracks and story lines that spread awareness and also raise social issues. Also many charitable acts of the team have been talked about.

Recently, there were few special visitors on the set of Taarak Mehta. They were the students from The Stephen High School for the Deaf and Aphasic. The cast and crew of the show entertained them in a special meet and greet activity that was organized.

The students were accompanied by the Principal of the school, Mrs. Olivia Moraes along with the helping staff. Mrs. Jasmina Tanna, PTA member and parent of Naman Tanna who is a student in this school arranged this outing for them.

Dilip Joshi who was loved by all the children had this to say, “It is so gratifying to know that we have brought joy in the lives of one and all. When these children came to meet us, we all felt so very special. Their love and smiles were so genuine and pure. And believe me, they are all winners in their life. Never giving up. Salute to their parents too, for all the support and positive faith in their ability.”

Producer Asit Kumarr Modi mentions, “It was a big group but we agreed because children wanted to come together with their teachers. They were all very happy and excited when they reached the sets. Until they were actually in Gokuldham Society, they were not very sure that they are taken to our sets.” Shailesh Lodha and Amit Bhatt aka Bapuji also had great time with these kids. In fact it was through the efforts of Amit Bhatt that they could come on sets and enjoy their trip.

All the kids were overwhelmed to meet their favorite characters from the show and were mesmerized watching the Gokuldhaam Society. The children just couldn’t believe their eyes. None of them were ready to leave or bid goodbye to the characters!

The students also visited the temple too, and came away with Prasad in their tiny hands.

Principal Mrs Olivia Moraes, “Taking our children on a surprise visit to the set of TMKOC was the icing on the cake of this year’s educational trip. To witness the shocked, astonished expressions of these special children was worth every effort. The happiness on their faces that day, are forever etched in our memories. I am sure, the children are eternally grateful to TMKOC team for being so accommodating and generous with the photo sessions. Special thanks to Shri Asit Kumarr Modi for making it happen.”

Wow!! Indeed a great effort by the team of Taarak Mehta for giving the students a great memory to cherish with!!
