It’s been an emotional journey for Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira (Shivangi Joshi) in Star Plus and Rajan Shahi’s long-running show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
Yesterday we wrote about Kartik’s confrontation with Naira to know the reason that stopped her from coming to the temple to marry him.
In tonight’s episode, a heart-broken Naira will have an emotional moment with her grandmother Rajshri.
As we know, Rajshri (Lata Sabharwal Seth) has been the only solid support system for Kartik and Naira in their plans to reunite.
The grandmother and granddaughter bonding has been special, mainly because Rajshri fills the void felt by Naira in the absence of Akshara.
The sequence will bring in tears as it will involve a lullaby that Rajshree will sing for her granddaughter.
As per sources, “This will be the same lullaby that Rajshree would have sung for her daughter Akshara years back.”
Yet another highlighting factor is that Lata Sabharwal Seth had sung the number herself when it was recorded years back, when it was picturized on her and Hina Khan. And now, Lata sung the song again, with a different flow of emotions for her granddaughter.
Talking about this experience, Lata told IWMBuzz.com, “Long back we had recorded this song, when I sung the same for Akshara. It was so nostalgic that I sung the same song again, this time for Naira.”

“The coincidence here is that Rajshree, my character calls Naira as ‘Bitiya Rani’, and we had sung this song originally for Akshara, when Naira was nowhere in the picture. Such beautiful lines, and it was nice singing it,” Lata adds.
