There are many shows on Indian television that just create their own niche when they air and even after years, they are still successfully running with audiences crazy as ever to watch every single episode and stay updated! Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is Ekta Kapoor’s longest running and most successful soap opera at that. The show is Indian TV personified as it portrays the unflinching love of Raman and Ishita and how they stand the test of time and together, are always each other’s strengths.
In the story, Ishita marries Raman, only for the sake of his daughter, with whom Ishita is tied in a motherly affection. The story progresses with a lot of impediment caused by Raman’s ex wife and the boyfriend. But every time, Raman and Ishita get over the struggle and it’s all because of their impenetrable love. As their marriage is solely based on their love for Ruhi, Raman’s young daughter; Raman and Ishita fall for each other much later in the show. Since then the show has taken 7 years, 1 year, 2 years and 8 months’ time leap consecutively with each portraying Raman and Ishita’s love just as they were from the first day. The show still runs on Star TV andhas won over 50 awards, and if that is not proof of the show being great then we don’t know what is!
Yeh Hai Mohabbateinhas been time and again serenaded for amazing performances by the cast, standout storyline and most of all for the lead pair, Raman and Ishita!
