Today’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 17 May episode starts with Suhasini (Swati Chitnis) being pissed because of Naira(Shivangi Joshi) not paying attention to Kartik’s (Mohsin Khan) health and she starts back bitching about her. Suwarna comes to Naira’s rescue by informing Suhasini that Kartik asked everyone to make sure that Niara doesn’t know about his health.
Suhasini goes ahead and calls Naira herself to share this with her. Hearing this, like any good wife even Naira approaches Mihir and tells him she can’t accompany for the meeting because she wants to stay back and tend to her husband.
Kirti tries to stop Devyani from interrogating Lacchi for that jewelry piece that is lost but Devyani pays no heed. Naira comes back home only to hear from Suwarna that Kartik has left for a meeting. Naira is shocked and then she goes to question Suhasini for lying to her about Kartik’s ill health, but Suhasini simply says she did this because she wanted Naira to fulfill her responsibilities and that leaves Naira dumbfounded.
Suhasini does not stop there. She even blames Naira for having competed with her own husband and having been selfish and this leaves Naira feeling very upset over her behavior. Meanwhile, Badi Daadi comes up to Kirti and tells her she took the jewelry and that’s when Devyani and Kirti realize they made a mistake.
Kartik returns home with others and Suhasini is right there, creating a scene saying she cursed her, and before Naina could say anything Kartik stops her right away. He goes on to ask her why she didn’t attend the meeting but Naina thinks it is best to not tell him anything.
