For Abdu Rozik, shooting a horror project was not just about eerie locations and spine-chilling moments; it was also about creating unforgettable memories with the cast. The singer and entertainer recently opened up about the most enjoyable part of filming his upcoming horror short film, Conjure Reel Files S4, which is set to release in the Middle East, followed by India. While the project promises a haunting cinematic experience, Abdu revealed that the atmosphere on set was equally entertaining, thanks to his playful antics and unexpected pranks on his co-stars.
Talking about the experience, Abdu shared, “The most fun part was definitely shooting at that haunted location. The place itself had such a spooky atmosphere that you could actually feel the horror around you. But instead of getting scared all the time, I decided to have some fun with everyone. I would suddenly scare people and enjoy their reactions. It made the entire shooting experience so memorable for me.”
Abdu further revealed that his co-star Ahmad Al Marzooqi was among those he loved teasing on set. Recalling the fun moments, he said, “Ahmad Al Marzooqi and the rest of the cast had to deal with my mischief! Whenever I got an opportunity, I would try to scare them. Everyone was so focused on the horror scenes, but I would find little moments to surprise them. Their reactions were honestly the funniest part. We were making a horror film, but there were plenty of moments when we couldn’t stop laughing.”
The entertainer also spoke warmly about director Zenofar Fatima, who has been steering Conjure Reel Files S4. For Abdu, working on the project offered an opportunity to explore a different atmosphere while sharing a memorable experience with the people involved. He added, “Zenofar was a wonderful part of this journey, and I really enjoyed being on set with everyone. When you work with people who make the environment comfortable and enjoyable, the experience becomes even more special. Despite the spooky surroundings, we had so much fun together, and those are the memories I will always carry with me.”
With Conjure Reel Files S4 gearing up for its Middle East release before reaching Indian audiences, Abdu Rozik is looking forward to bringing viewers into its eerie world.
