Bollywood actress and former beauty queen Celina Jaitly has now penned a heartbreaking, raw account of her ongoing divorce and child custody battle with her estranged Austrian husband, Peter Haag. Marking exactly one year since she secretly fled Austria to return to India, the actress detailed shocking allegations of surveillance, financial control, and emotional abuse.

On October 12, 2026, Celina uploaded a photo of herself with her three sons—Winston, Viraaj, and Arthur—alongside a lengthy caption revisiting the night she left everything behind.

Reflecting on her sudden departure from Europe on October 12, 2025, Celina revealed the financial and emotional desperation of her situation: “1 year ago, on 12th Oct, I arrived in Mumbai with a ticket booked on a credit card & 1 suitcase: files, my late ma’s saree & heartbreak. Most difficult decision of my life!”

According to Celina, the separation began unexpectedly. In early September 2025, she was driven to a local post office expecting a 15th wedding anniversary gift from Haag, only to find she had been served a formal divorce notice instead: “In early Sept 2025, I was driven to the post office for what I believed was our 15th wedding anniversary gift. It was a divorce notice.”

Celina stated that during their initial court hearing, the judge advised the couple to work toward an amicable separation. “At our first hearing. The judge gave us until Nov to work towards an amicable separation.”

She claims she begged Haag to settle quietly for the sake of their children and to avoid exhausting litigation fees, promising not to expose her allegations of domestic abuse to the court: “I begged my husband: I promise I will not tell the court about ur abuse & trauma. Let us separate amicably for the children… For my brother… how will I pay for litigation?” she further added.

Revealing how her husband reacted, the actress said, “Speak to my lawyers.” I was told to work as a cleaner if I ran short of legal fees.”

Reflecting on her relationship with her ex-husband, the actress questioned, “15 years of marriage & 4 children. Was this the same man?”

Talking about the legal battle, she revealed, “The next day, a legal notice claimed all my premarital assets. I was told I could not leave Austria after divorce if I wanted access to my children. I had no access to our Austrian accounts & discovered efforts to sell my premarital assets in India. My brother’s situation weighed heavily too.”

Revealing how her husband framed her, the actress said, “Under constant surveillance, my scolding the children for silly things started being recorded to portray me as a mentally unsound, incapable mother. How could I bring my children into uncertainty in India, barred from my own home?”

Fearing for her safety and freedom, she escaped her home with the secret assistance of her Austrian neighbors: “With my Austrian neighbors’ help, I left at 1 a.m. I spent a week in a hotel, speaking to my children on Zoom & phone calls. The day I went to court to reclaim my premarital assets, all contact was severed. One twin messaged that their father was screaming that I had abandoned them.”

Reflecting on her continuing battle, she said, “A year later, efforts continue to take away my joint custody. My children being brainwashed, alienated & moved continuously through Austrian jurisdictions.”

Sharing that she is receiving support from notable people includes former Miss Universe and Bollywood star Lara Dutta, alongside TV personality Dimpy Ganguly: “My witnesses include former UN chief global issues, Lara Dutta, a constant visitor in the UAE, our children a month apart; My Dubai neighbors, TV star Dimpy Ganguly; the German head of the parent-teacher group GISS, Canadian Pakistani pediatrician; my British gynecologist & neighbor; Austrian doctors & all my village neighbors. They stand witness to my motherhood & dedication to my family & children.”

Concluding her powerful update, Celina maintained a resilient front for her followers, writing: “Yet I await justice. This is the story of a mother who continues to fight.”
