Recently, the 2022 CFDA Awards also known as the “Oscars of fashion” commenced in New York City. The event celebrates the fashionistas who aced innovation and excellence within the fashion industry this year.
At the 2022 CFDA Awards, Kim Kardashian was awarded with the first-ever Innovation Award presented by Amazon Fashion for her shapewear brand SKIMS. The awards was received by Kim Kardashian and Co-Founder and CEO Jens Grede and Founding Partner and Chief Product Officer Emma Grede.
After being honored with the innovation award, Kim Kardashian said to the audience, “We have put a strong emphasis since our launch on continuing to shape the industry to embrace size equality and diversity as a fixture and not just a trend and I see so many of you are doing just that”.
Kim Kardashian also shared with her instafam the news with a series of images in the gorgeous latex-finish bodycon dress from Dolce & Gabbana, that feautured SKIMS shapewear underneath. An image also showed Kim posing alongside Emma Grede and Jens Grede with proudy smiles and trophies in their hands.
Kim Kardashian also penned a note with her latest post, that read, “We won a CFDA Award!!! This is crazzzyyy! So proud of SKIMS and how we have built such an important brand that i hope makes everyone feel empowered when they are wearing Skims. Thankyou @JensGrede and @EmmaGrede for believing in me and the vision and making all of my dreams come true. I couldn’t ask for better partners”.
