MX TakaTak is undoubtedly one of the finest short format video apps in India and all thanks to the platform, innumerable talents, and content creators have gotten the opportunity to showcase skills in front of a large audience. Their latest initiative ‘Launchpad’ is the talk of the town, giving wings to ambition. Launchpad is powering young talented individuals who have already done a great job in creating engaging content on the platform and one such amazing talented artist is musician Shivansh Sharma.

Shivansh is quite a multi-talented personality. From singing to playing musical instruments and composing, he is a charmer in whatever he does. A hard-working and dedicated performing artiste, Shivansh aims to be a part of the Hindi music industry. He is a power performer now, but very few know that he battled stage fright to emerge from the cocoon and fly high.

“Well, I feel repetitive practice helped me a lot to conquer this fear. Also, I feel, the fact that I started performing in front of small groups eventually gave me the confidence to perform in front of a big crowd and helped me conquer my stage fright. My friends and family have been supportive. We need to always work hard and things eventually flow swiftly.”

When further asked about what he has to say on artists getting platforms, like MX TakaTak, to perform, Shivansh averred, “Yes, I feel it’s both an advantage and a disadvantage. All thanks to multiple platforms, anyone who wishes to sing can upload content and it can be viewed by innumerable people. So yes, the competition has certainly increased if we look at it that way. But, I also feel that it will eventually get the best out of all of us. We are our own competition.”

When asked about what eventually wins the race between ‘talent’ and ‘social media engagement’, he concluded by saying,

“In today’s generation of social media, marketing is a very important aspect. Hence, there’s no doubt that social media engagement, views, likes, etc matter a lot. But, at the same time, I also feel that nothing can overpower genuine, raw talent and hard work. Even today, when we talk about the legends of music, we tend to take names of Kishore Kumar, Md Rafi, RD Burman, and others. They are irreplaceable. So, yes, engagement and social media following can definitely give someone a chance ahead of another person who’s probably more talented. But, my personal feeling would be that talent will always win at the end of the day.”
