Avinash Sachdev who is a popular television actor with noteworthy shows Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon… Ek Baar Phir, Choti Bahu, Qubool Hai, Balika Vadhu, Ayushman Bhava etc has turned into a travel and food blogger. Monktales by Avinash Sachdev is really an interesting place to watch out for, if you have not yet explored it.

The lockdown phase caused by the pandemic spread has indeed given his passion a new meaning!! Avinash who has always been passionate about shooting, direction and editing decided to travel around and shoot his videos and upload them on YouTube. And this has indeed started a good journey of sorts for Avinash.

Says Avinash, “When I started working on my passion, I actually thought that I will shoot whatever I see and observe as I travel around and put it on YouTube. I had not thought anything beyond that. This lockdown taught me to look for new avenues to keep myself busy. I decided to make my passion my profession. The safest option that came to me was blogging. Now I am enjoying this so much that I feel like doing it for the whole of my life (smiles).”

“I have put up nearly 7-8 videos on YouTube and I will be putting one more today. So this is a completely new world that I am exploring. I never thought that I will make my passion a profession. The content I put up is related to travel, food, adventure which I love doing,” he adds.

Talking of the process in which he handles his shoot while he travels, Avinash states, “I have two camera setups and shoot on my own. I select the shots that I want. I have bought a new editing machine and have it at home. I edit on my own. The lockdown has taught me a lot of new stuff.”

On his expectations going forward, Avinash avers, “See the start has been good. My videos have decent views considering that I am new to this avenue. I do not want to tag in huge expectations for the first six months. This path is completely a clean slate for me. I do not know what to expect right now. I want to give it six months of my life and then I can plan on what I need to do next. I have already chalked out plans of travelling state-wise; I will start this from November or December. I want to start from Rajasthan or Kerala, go into the places, stay there for 20 – 25 days, get at least 7-10 episodes ready. I want to plan a travel web-series and post it on YouTube.”

“I will capture the road-side Dhabas, the food there, the adventures associated with the travel, the beautiful locations, places where I stay etc.”

“I will love it if you people watch it and give me your feedback,” he says as he signs off.
