Charlie D’Amelio has more than 127 million followers on TikTok. This TikTok star was one of the first ones to gain 50 million followers and then rise to 100 million. She has done quite a bit over the last two years to gain this popularity. Read on for more details on her rise to fame!
She posted her first TikTok video on March 30, 2019. The video was of her friend and her lip-syncing. Later that May she turned 16. She wore Charlie’s 16 Squad hoodie and danced to Sixteen by Ayesha Erotica as a celebration to mark the milestone. This hoodie of hers would go on to become a prized piece of fan merchandise as per a Kubbco report.
Two months later she posted a video, a duet with Move With Joy. This was one of her first videos that really hit it off! She had shared the video on her way to her dance class. By the time she was finished with her dance class, her followers had gone from 7 to 2000. From then her popularity was on the rise and soon her family hired an agency, a publicist, and a manager.
She had done quite a bit to bring out the best content. She even joined the Hype House in LA for a while to help her creative process. She frequently films over seven videos in a dad and attends multiple meetings during the week.
