Kolkata’s Mohammad Belal Alam is proving that transformation isn’t just physical—it’s a mindset. The actor, fitness coach, and content creator has built a name for himself by turning his personal struggle into a full-blown brand, and his journey is striking a chord online.
Alam didn’t stumble into fitness. In 2019, he weighed just 38 kg and described himself as “very weak.” That low point became the trigger. “I wanted to change that myself,” he says. Inspired by Danish Zehen, he started training with one goal: to build a strong physique. Social media had nothing to do with it. “I was tired of being weak and underweight. The decision came from within, and I stayed consistent,” he explains.
Today, at 70 Kg weight, 5’10” height with 9% body fat, fitness isn’t a side hustle for Alam—it’s his lifestyle and profession. He follows a disciplined routine that keeps him physically strong and mentally focused, and works as a certified fitness coach, guiding clients through their own transformations. “Helping others transform motivates me daily,” he says. “It’s rewarding to use my experience to support people in reaching their own fitness goals. I want to inspire people and change their lives too.”
That discipline has become a part of his content too. Alam’s videos have been going viral, and he’s clear it’s not by accident. “I always aim to create content that gets noticed. Going viral wasn’t accidental. I plan my videos with the intention to reach people and make an impact.”
Acting is another piece of the puzzle. Alam has worked in Bollywood as a junior artist and feature cast before moving back to Kolkata, where he landed the main lead role in the music video Emni Ami. “Acting remains close to my heart,” he says.
Now, he’s setting his sights bigger. Alam wants to open his own gym and scale up as an influencer and content creator. “Building a space for fitness and sharing my journey online are my main goals,” he says. “I’m focused on growing my brand while helping more people through training and digital content.”
