Saloni Khanna the talented actress has many reasons to smile!! First of all, her lockdown wedding with long-time boyfriend Viraf Patel has given her an abundance of happiness. Secondly, she is all excited about her next web series which is all set to stream, that is, Broken But Beautiful 3, the ALTBalaji series.
Saloni will also be part of the upcoming ZEE5 series Sunflower.
Says Saloni on her wedding, “We are glad that we are married. Everyone in our family is very happy. They want to see us. When the Covid crisis gets a bit better, probably we will plan to travel and meet our family. As of now, I am in a happy phase after my marriage.”
On Broken But Beautiful 3, Saloni explains, “It is a very well-made series. It has a crisp storyline. The series has so much of drama, romance, emotion, heartbreak, all depicted with realism.”
On her role, Saloni states, “I play the younger sister of Rumi Desai (Sonia Rathee). My screen name is Maira Desai. You can call Maira as the apple of the family’s eyes. I personally look up to Maira. Maira is very forgiving, loving, very sorted. I am sure when my parents see me in the series, they are going to tell me to be more like Maira in real life (smiles).”
Saloni tells her that the bonding between the sisters in Broken But Beautiful 3 is something that viewers can watch out for. “When it comes to Maira, her relationship with Rumi is something that will catch attention. There are other angles, and Maira’s other arc too. However, the relationship of the sisters will start in a different way and will get into a different tangent. We both could relate to our characters. We had fun shooting for our scenes too.”
Saloni has a sister in real life. “In Rumi and Maira’s case, it is so relatable, it has all the aspects of an actual sibling relationship.”
Talking about Broken But Beautiful as a brand and the expectations that are tagged to the series, Saloni avers, “It is nice to be part of a series that has huge popularity. Having said that, the expectations from the audiences are going to be high. They have seen two Seasons and they have loved it. This will be a completely new story, a fresh start. But I am sure that viewers will enjoy this story again. I have full faith.”
Saloni will be part of Sunflower the upcoming ZEE5 crime-thriller comedy. “I play the role of Anchal, who works with the protagonist Sonu (Sunil Grover). Anchal is very different when compared to Maira. Anchal is complicated in nature. It is a comedy which will make people laugh, and also think. Sunflower has a deep-rooted subject conveyed in a comic way.”
Saloni is also working on a few more projects. “It has been a great learning experience on the web platform for me. The web has created so much more opportunities. As an actor, I am grateful that we have the platform of the web where there so much of content being made.”
