Nidhi Bisht the multifaceted actor who is presently seen in the role of Sujata Didi in Netflix‘s widely accepted series, Maamla Legal Hai, gets into an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz.com, where she talks about the second edition of the series being special for many reasons. Maamla Legal Hai is directed by Rahul Pandey and co-written by Saurabh Khanna and Kunal Aneja.
Talking about her character’s trajectory in Season 2, Nidhi says, “In the last season, Sujata really needed the AC chamber. She was worried about it. Now that the chamber has come, her desires have not ended. There are new desires that Didi has this season. The Sujata that you will see this time around has evolved and wants to achieve a lot of newer things.”
She goes on to say about her streak of finally fighting a case in the Patparganj District Court. “Sujata does fight a case. But new arguments are happening this season. You need to wait and watch. She is also looking for a partner in her personal life.”
Nidhi Bisht finds a happy home on the sets of Maamla Legal Hai, and will want to return to the set again for a new season. She just cannot explain in words the kind of popularity she has bagged for her role of Sujata Didi. “I am grateful to have gotten Sujata. It is overwhelming when people identify me as Sujata.”
Looking back at her varied roles in sketches and TVF projects, Nidhi believes that the role of Sujata propelled her further. “This role in Maamla Legal Hai is a proper level-up for me after all my earlier works. The reception to the level-up has been very fruitful. I get awkward when I get recognised in public. I am a ‘work in progress’ on how to receive compliments.”
