Parth Samthaan, the young heartthrob of Indian television, needs no introduction. The actor started his journey with episodics like Life OK’s Savdhaan India, MTV India’s Webbed, Bindass’s Yeh Hai Aashiqui , and Zing’s Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. Later, he bagged the role of Manik Malhotra in MTV India’s Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan opposite Niti Taylor which proved to be the turning point in his career.

Later, he charmed the audience with his acting talent in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Now, he is back on screen with ALT Balaji’s web series Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu which is also his digital debut. Mai Hero Boll Raha Hun is the story of one man, a hero named Nawab, set in the city of dreams, Mumbai, which will take the audience through a rollercoaster storyline showcasing the rise of a ‘Hero’. The series takes the viewers through the turmoil and the journey of not only the Hero who rises from being an underdog to a don but also the pace of Mumbai at a time when the crime was paid to proliferate and Mumbai was Bombay.

In an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz.com, Parth says, “I have played amazing roles on TV which were majorly of an ideal lover boy-husband or a chocolate boy, so I wanted to break that image and stereotype hence I opted for this role. I learnt a lot from this series as I am playing a gangster from the 90s era. I learnt about their style, the tapori language that they used to speak. Frankly speaking, as an actor this character made me very confident. I have prepared a lot for the role of Nawab. To start with, I watched movies like Company, Satya, Shootout, and Vastav which were based on gangster’s lives. I learnt the craft of the character. I have received a lot of compliments from fans after they saw the teaser and hence I want them to watch the series too.”

When asked about shooting in real locations for the show, he shares, “It took a long time to bring the show to the audiences because every scene that we shot had different locations and they were all real places. In fact, I have shot in Madh a lot of times for shows Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan or Kasautii Zindagii Kay but there was one of the dockyards where we shot. In this scene, I felt we were not in Mumbai. I never explored that place and I really liked that location.”

On an end note, Parth shares a special message for his fans, he adds, “The glamour element will work for this series and I hope fans love it too. After all our hard work and efforts during the pandemic, I cannot wait to see how the audience reacts. I sincerely hope that they love it as much as I enjoyed working for it.”

Good luck Parth!
