Praveen Kumar is one of the most popular and talented stand-up comedians who has represented India at a global level. He has done about 1400 shows all around the world and that’s a remarkable figure. Currently, he will be seen as one of the judges and mentors of Comicstaan Tamil version which is ‘Comicstaan Semma Comedy Pa’. When asked about what the audience can expect differently from the Tamil version, he said and we quote,
“Well, there’s not really much of a difference between the earlier English and Hindi versions of Comicstaan. It is primarily the language. Otherwise, it is the same way of judging, marking and mentoring. But what the Tamil version will do is it will help us explore a lot of unidentified talent in the regional zones who probably don’t get as much of exposure as the talents in Mumbai or Delhi. The primary idea of Comicstaan Semma Comedy Pa is to reach to a wider regional audience.”
