The Cannes Film Festival is unquestionably one of the year’s most spectacular red carpet events. The A-list of Hollywood, supermodels and the European elite converge upon the South of France in the most magnificent couture confections for ten days straight.
If you don’t want to be buried in a sea of sequin-embellished mermaid dresses and sweeping princess gowns, don’t be modest or understated. Despite the fact that the historic film festival was postponed this year because of COVID-19, we’re still remembering the most memorable gowns to walk la Croisette.
Bella Hadid wore a floaty white Dior Haute Couture tulle gown with a halter top and pleated, tiered frills to the Rocketman premiere. Brad Pitt and Leo DiCaprio, two of Hollywood’s most popular leading men, arrived for the premiere of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood looking stylish on May 21.
Pitt wore a Brioni hand-tailored bespoke black tux, silk bow tie, and cummerbund with a white evening shirt to Cannes for the first time in seven years, while DiCaprio wore a Giorgio Armani midnight blue tux with a white evening shirt and bow tie to the festival for the first time in seven years.
Dua Lipa wore a tiered, flame-colored Valentino taffeta gown with a thigh-high slit and soft feathery embroidered ornamentation from the spring 2019 collection, which she teamed with strappy complementing sandals, to the amfAR gala. Dua Lipa is accessorized with a white diamond briolette necklace.
