Suhail Rasool is a popular social media influencer and digital creator who has thousands of followers and fans on Instagram and YouTube. He comes from the city of Bangalore and entered the digital space with the intention of adding value to people’s lives and being out there in the world.

Working on a movie project at the moment, Suhail Rasool’s career in the digital realm is fast expanding. In a brief, informal interview with him, we ask him questions about his journey and experiences as an influencer.

Below is an excerpt from the same conversation:

Suhail, what would you say is the biggest roadblock and learning that your career as a digital creator gave you?

With the kind of upbringing I have, roadblocks are something that I never really noticed. I’ve always been taught to adjust your vision and avoid victimhood at all costs. The biggest learning that I got as a digital creator is to remain honest to your original intentions. Once you’ve found your ground, it becomes easy to slip in the wave of new trends. I don’t say that’s wrong, I just believe your content should remain as original as possible. And originality asks for effort.

What do you feel about your audience? Does a sense of responsibility come to you?

Of course, it does. When I first started posting content on Instagram and YouTube, my key objective was to make people happy. Someone should click on my story or reel and feel instantly better. I have been told I make people laugh a lot and there is nothing that I love more. The world always seems like it is about to fall apart, a little thrill and happiness would do wonders to it. That’s the responsibility that I have and fulfill towards my audience.

What are your future plans?

The plan is to not fit in a box. I’m working on a film project right now and have a couple other things lined up as well. I just want to explore and do as many things as possible. But I’ll never stop being a digital creator. This field has made me realize my potential and I want to remain here, and share my life with my fans. Love what you do and do what you love – this is what I literally live by.
