Shikha Talsania is one of the most loved and popular actresses of the Indian entertainment industry and few projects where she has shown her mettle in the past are Wake Up Sid, Coolie No 1, Veerey Di Wedding and many more. The diva is all set to be next seen in Sony LIV’s show ‘Potluck’ which is all about different members of a family with different cultural backgrounds coming together for a ‘potluck’ party due to the Covid pandemic and the ‘comedy of errors’ that followed after it.
When Shikha was asked about how the lockdown was for her in terms of her own family, she was quoted as saying,
“Well, just like anyone else, it was a mixture of different emotions. But yes, the primary focus has been to spend as much time as possible with the loved ones and I have done that as well.”
In today’s time, a lot of casting directors often tend to put social media fan following as a factor behind casting actors. When asked if she ever faced such an audition requirement, she added,
“Well, touchwood I have had good people who have focused more on my skills that I bring to the table rather than anything else. But this is so true. A lot of my friends and people I know have dealt with this. This should not happen. An actor is supposed to give his or her best to the scene that needs to be enacted. How does social media following play a role for this? One needs to be prepared with his or her skills as an actor and it’s their ability to do a scene right that should get them work. Social Media’ followers should never be a factor for casting actors.”
