There is a quiet strength about Digvijay Singh Rathee that audiences have come to notice over time. From building his space in the entertainment world to recently returning to television with The 50, Digvijay has shown that growth does not happen overnight. His steady gameplay on the show once again highlighted his composed nature. Though he had to take a short break because of an eye infection, viewers are already looking forward to seeing him back in action.
Behind this calm personality, however, lies a phase of life that quietly shaped him. When asked what taught him patience, Digvijay did not speak about fame or competition. Instead, he went back to a time when he was new to Mumbai and far away from home.
“The phase of my life that taught me patience was when I was in Mumbai alone, away from family for the first time in my life,” he shared honestly. At that time, work was uncertain, and opportunities were not coming easily. “I had no work. I was just training some of my clients online, as I used to be a fitness trainer.”
It was not a glamorous chapter. Days followed a simple routine. There were no shoots, no public appearances, and no big plans. “So I guess that was the time when I had no work, nothing to do, I just used to go to my gym, make my own meals, and yeah, just probably wait for the opportunity to come,” he recalled.
That waiting period, he admits, was the hardest. “That was the toughest time, and it taught me patience.”
His words are very relatable. Anyone’s spirit can be tested when they live alone in a new city, keep track of their money, and hope for a break. But Digvijay decided to keep going instead of giving up. He kept training and getting better, trusting that the right time would come. Fans can see that those silent struggles built the foundation when they see him handle pressure maturely.
