Ishika Shahi’s Jabb Zodiacs Met, which has been produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Production and conceptualised by Pearl Grey, was received well by the audience. It is a 12-episode series that revolves around various Zodiac signs and their compatibility and is streaming on DKP’s official YouTube channel. Mazher Sayed, who is presently seen in Star Plus and Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa, is seen in the role of Ashnoor Kaur’s father, and the actor revealed that he truly believes that destiny has its own amazing theory.
He said, “No matter how much you try to move away from something, life eventually brings you back to where you are meant to be. If something didn’t happen earlier, maybe it wasn’t meant for you at that time. But if it belongs to you, it will find its way back.”
“When it comes to love, I do believe timing and cosmic connections play a role, though I also think effort and understanding matter equally,” he added.
He confessed that working on the show reinforced his belief that compatibility is not just about zodiac signs but about emotional maturity and understanding. He said, “Astrology can be a fun lens to look through, but real relationships need communication and patience. The show made me more open to the idea that sometimes the universe aligns things in unexpected ways.”
Asked if the stars could guide his next role and what kind of character he would want to explore next, he said, “I’d love to explore something layered and emotionally complex—maybe a psychological drama or an intense romantic story where destiny plays a subtle but powerful role. I enjoy characters that have depth and evolve.”
Mazher is all praise for Ishika. He said, “She is extremely creative and forward-thinking. She represents a new generation that isn’t afraid to experiment with storytelling. Working with her was refreshing because she understands modern relationships and presents them in a very relatable way. She’s clear about her vision but also open to collaboration, which makes the creative process smooth and inspiring.”
He also mentioned that working with Rajan Shahi and his team has always felt like being part of a family. “Whenever you’re on one of his sets, there’s warmth and familiarity. Shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Anupamaa are not just projects; they carry emotions and long-standing bonds. Meeting the same people again feels like life bringing you full circle. It reminds me of what I said earlier—what is meant for you always finds its way back,” Mazher ended.
