Disney+ Hotstar has released the first look of its next original series Aarya. With the series, Sushmita Sen is all set to make her comeback to acting after a gap of five years.
The teaser shows Sushmita flexing her muscles. Going by the video, it seems, the actress is prepping for a mission. As per a report, Aarya is a remake of the Dutch crime thriller series Penoza, about a widow who takes over her husband’s organized crime business after he’s killed, in lieu of turning into a state witness. Aarya has been directed by Ram Madhvani (Neerja) and is a production of Ram Madhvani Films and Endemol Shine Entertainment
Now, we hear actors Ankur Bhatia (Haseena Parkar), Sikandar Kher (Romeo Akbar Walter), Flora Saini (Gandii Baat) and Virti Vaghani (Mardaani 2) will be part of the cast. The actors will play pivotal roles in the project.
We buzzed the actors and spokesperson at Hotstar but they remained unavailable for comment.
