Actress Debattama Saha, who is presently garnering all the praise for her confidence-personified lead role in Ishika Shahi’s web series Heer Sharma Gayi, produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Productions for the banner’s YouTube channel, is excited about her presence in the much-anticipated series Undekhi – The Final Battle, which will stream on SonyLIV from 1 May.
The captivating promo, wherein it is a battle of the Atwals, with Papaji and Rinku Paaji being at loggerheads, has raised curiosity amongst the viewers. While we wait for the series and its narrative to unfold, we have Debattama Saha with us, who is happy to have bagged a worthy role in the series.
Debattama Saha will play a role that will be important to the main plot and the fight. Though not a central role, Debattama is grateful that the offer came her way, as she had a great time shooting for the much-loved and highly successful franchise.
Says Debattama Saha, who has played leads in TV shows Shaurya aur Anokhi Ki Kahani, Krishna Mohini, Mithai, etc, “My presence in Undekhi might not be a meaty role, but it is important for the plot twists it provides. My main aim was to explore this format with this successful franchise. I may not have had much of the screen time, but I certainly had a great time shooting for it. The process gave me a good learning curve.”
Debattama is grateful to the cast and crew and shares her experience, saying, “It was fun shooting with all the popular actors who are part of the series. I spent time with them and learned a lot. I particularly remember a singing session we had during our free time, where I sang for the cast and crew.”
Debattama’s strong performance in Heer Sharma Gayi opposite Tushar Dhemble is being appreciated at the moment.
