Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt’s upcoming coming-of-age romantic comedy film, Don’t Be Shy, produced under Eternal Sunshine Productions and co-produced by Chalkboard Entertainment, is all set to premiere on Prime Video on 25 September. The series has Aarushi Bajaj as Shy, Ansh Duggal as Dhruv, Bianca Arora as Tara, and Piyush Khati as Mayank, ably supported by Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia, and Anju Alva Naik. The film is written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji.
We hear that senior actor Amit Singh Thakur, who was recently seen in the web series Half Love Half Arranged, will play a vital role. We hear that he will be the super-rich father of Mayank, played by Piyush Khati.
Amit Singh Thakur has featured in projects Bade Acche Lagte Hain, Four Years Later, Hello Mini, Dil Dosti Dilemma, and more. He is presently part of the cast of Colors TV’s Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki.
We buzzed the actor, and he confirmed his presence in the film without getting into any details.
We reached out to the spokesperson at Prime Video, but did not get a response till we filed the story.
The movie is described as a vibrant young-adult narrative capturing the turbulent, beautiful, and awkward phase of transitioning into early adulthood. It specifically explores college life, first crushes, ambition, and the uncertainty of self-discovery.
