The media landscape is currently undergoing a significant shift toward vertical video streaming, moving beyond social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels into dedicated, professional, and long-form streaming platforms. This evolution is driven by the fact that smartphones are the primary screen for billions of users, holding their phones vertically. There are dedicated apps that focus on streaming vertical concepts, which have gained immense popularity.
From players like ReelShort, DramaBox, TukTuki, Story TV, to bigger players like Netflix, JioHotstar, etc, the focus is primarily on the short format content as of now.
We at IWMBuzz.com have details about an interesting new concept that is being worked out for TukTuki. The series will be sports-based, with the focus on the cricketing journey and struggles of the lead characters. The series will be produced by Sonu Singh Rajput Filmz and directed by Yogesh Ojha.
The news that we have is that popular actor Ayyaz Ahmed has been roped in to play the lead. He is known for his works in shows Agniphera, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, etc. He will be joined by Tasneem Khan, who was recently seen in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain – Naya Season. Actor Manish Wankar will also be a part of the series.
