IWMBuzz.com has been reporting about the upcoming murder mystery Margaon: The Closed File. We had earlier reported actors Bharat Dabholkar and Liliput being part of the cast.
Now, we hear, talented and beautiful actress Shilpa Shinde, who rose to fame with Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai and Bigg Boss, has joined the cast. She will be playing the role of a cop named Varsha.
The series is produced by Santketan Films and directed by Kapil Kaustubh Sharma. The series has a stellar cast that includes Zeenat Aman, Suchitra Krishna Moorthy, Kitu Gidwani, Pallavi Joshi, Ankit Bhardwaj.
When called Shilpa, she confirmed the news and said, “I am excited to be a part of this project. It has an amazing script and a stellar cast. Actors like Zeenat ji, Kitu ji, Pallavi ji, who I have watched perform amazingly on-screen, now I get a chance to work with them. I feel privileged. I am going to play a very different character of a bindass cop who will be using slang. It was challenging for me as I don’t use slang and I am not conformable with it. However, the character is very strong and I wanted to try something new. I hope the audience likes it.”
