Vertical concepts offer valuable opportunities for innovative experimentation with different concepts and genres. In a one-of-a-kind concept, TukTuki has come up with a storyline which will feature a non-Indian protagonist. The series, titled Moscow to Muzaffarpur, will be a romance drama, with the narrative having a foreign girl moving to the Indian rural soil for the sake of love. The series is produced by Sonu Singh Rajput Filmz and directed by Amit Rai.
For the same, the makers have locked noted Russian actress Irina Rudakova, who is a known name in the Hindi and Marathi belt of the industry. A rightful winner of the reality show, Reality Rani of the Jungle, Irina has also been a contestant of Bigg Boss Marathi.
A little birdie tells us, “Irina was the right choice for the series, considering that the requirement was for a foreigner as the protagonist. This is also the first time that a foreigner is considered to lead a concept on the vertical medium.”
We buzzed Irina but did not get through to her.
TukTuki, the streaming platform, has specialised in vertical, bite-sized storytelling. They have come up with varied genres of concepts, with popular celebrities. Some of their notable titles in the vertical medium include Kidnapped, Meri Biwi Ki Shaadi, Aakhir Kaun, Chalte Phirte Rishte, etc.
