IWMBuzz.com earlier reported that actors Tahir Raj Bhasin, Amala Paul and Amrita Puri will be starring in Mahesh Bhatt’s web-series, based on the relationship of a struggling filmmaker and a top actress of the 70s era. It is said that the story is loosely based on Bhatt’s life himself and will bring forth many interesting and controversial anecdotes from the era gone by.
Bhatt’s Vishesh Films and Jio Studios have joined hands for the project that has now been christened Ranjish E Sahi.
Says a source, “The story is a period drama and has a gripping narrative. The plot will oscillate between the 70s, 80s and current era.”
Like all Bhatt projects, Ranjish E Sahi too will have soothing impactful songs.
Informs the source, “The series has around 8 original songs. Stalwarts like Javed Ali and Rekha Bhardwaj have already recorded for the same and more singers are expected to join the list.”
IWMBuzz sources have learnt that the project is ready to stream and might hit the net waves in February or March 2021.
“It will be one of the most talked-about series of the year for sure,” ends the source.
