Joheirry Mola Dominguez was honored with the crown of Miss World 2026 during the grand finale on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in Nha Trang, Vietnam. She became the 73rd Miss World and was crowned by her predecessor, Miss World 2025, Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri.
The Miss World organization describes the newly crowned Joheirry Mola Dominguez as a dedicated educator, community advocate, and communicator. However, her victory wasn’t won simply by the final gown, the crown, or the stage presence among the 111 competitors, but by her journey to the title through her philosophical thoughts, especially her answers to the questions asked, which impressed the judges.
Many do not know that Joheirry Mola holds a degree in Business Management and Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana. Besides that, she is the founder and president of Voices of Tomorrow, which promotes English education for children and youth in vulnerable communities. She works as a teacher, educating youth on Literature and Social Studies in English and inspires critical thinking and holistic development.
Expressing her gratitude with the photos from the victory moment, Joheirry Mola Dominguez captioned, “THANK YOU, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. Today, all I can say is: thank you. Thank you to my country for allowing me to carry our flag, our roots, and our essence to the Miss World stage. Thank you for every message, every word of love, every prayer, and every bit of support throughout this journey.
Sharing her feelings about representing her country, she said, “Every time I heard “Dominican Republic,” I felt an entire country standing with me. That is something I will carry in my heart forever. I leave this experience with unforgettable memories, a heart full of gratitude and, above all, an immense pride in being Dominican. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for walking this journey with me. Dominican Republic, this is yours too!”
In the next post, Joheirry Mola expressed her gratitude while sharing that she is still not over the victory hangover. She wrote, “Still feeling it all! The emotion is still too big to put into words. We’re still happy, grateful, and carrying so many beautiful memories in our hearts.
