It appears like Kanye West won’t ever get divorced. But, as Ye’s divorce proceedings drag on, it appears that his fifth attorney has resigned. Samantha Spector, Ye’s current divorce lawyer, formally resigned from representing the Chicago rapper-producer during Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s trial-like meeting in Los Angeles, according to a TMZ report that was released on Aug. 5. According to the site, Ms Spector resigned because her attorney-client relationship with Kanye was irreparably ruined.

Ms Spector had originally designated next week as the withdrawal deadline, but the judge approved her motion on Friday. She didn’t go into more detail about why her interactions with Kanye had soured. Kanye now lacks a legal representative in his divorce lawsuit. Additionally, it seems like the judge has had enough and is prepared to continue the case. The judge reportedly gave Kanye a deadline: either turn in his financial disclosures to resolve the outstanding concerns, or the case would go to trial in December, whether or not Ye has legal representation.

KimYe’s divorce drama began in January 2021 when she recruited Laura Wasser as her legal representative. A judge approved Kim’s request to end her marriage to Kanye in March. The artist behind the Donda album reportedly switched Chris Melcher, his fourth divorce lawyer, with Samantha Spector at that session. As a result, Kanye West will be able to get a new lawyer and settle his contentious divorce from Kim Kardashian amicably.
